Creating floral arrangements for a client’s wedding is always an honour. It’s never just decoration — it’s emotion, story, and memory brought to life. For my own wedding, I wanted the flowers to feel soft, romantic, and full of meaning, just like the day itself.
Here’s a peek at the flowers that made my wedding day unforgettable.
The Bouquet: Soft Pastels with Sentimental Touches
My bouquet was a dreamy mix of blush roses, delicate lisianthus, frothy astilbe, light blue forget-me-nots, textured nigella, and show-stopping white peonies, all tied together with soft trailing greenery.
Each flower carried a story:
- Roses for love and romance
- Peonies for beauty and good fortune
- Astilbe for grace and elegance
- Nigella (Love-in-a-Mist) for the mystery and magic of falling in love
- Forget-me-nots as a quiet nod to remembrance and loyalty
The Table Arrangement: Overflowing with Love
Our ceremony table was dressed with an abundant, garden-style arrangement that echoed the bouquet but on a grander scale. Big, buttery peonies, soft pink lisianthus, sprays of baby’s breath, and textural foliage tumbled gently over the edge.
It felt as though the flowers had just been gathered from a summer garden — romantic, effortless, and full of soul.
Ceremony Details: Little Jars, Big Impact
Down the aisle, we hung sweet jam jars filled with petite posies: a single cream rose, baby’s breath, astilbe, touches of thistle, and sprigs of foliage. These little details swayed gently in the breeze, releasing a soft floral scent into the summer air.
Even the chairs wore flowers, with small touches on each one. Every corner felt considered, calm, and lovingly styled.
A Final Thought
My hope is that every LA ROSE couple feels what I felt — that their flowers tell their story, hold their favourite memories, and add a touch of magic to a day they’ll never forget.
